Beneath the forest canopy, people benefit from a wide range of products. These non-timber forest products (NTFPs)contribute significantly to the livelihoods and incomes of approximately 1.3 billion people who depend on forest resources and services. However, despite their importance, NTFP trade often goes unnoticed, especially when compared to the highly visible timber trade.
